Product details

Live pipis in 500 g and 1 kg packs. Sweet, small and famously sandy — soak them in salted water for a couple of hours first and they will spit the grit out. Excellent in a marinara, or a simple garlic and wine steam.

Keeping it: Keep live shellfish in the fridge under a damp cloth — never sealed in plastic or sitting in fresh water — and cook them the same day.
